Hello listeners. This is the first WISCONSIN ONLY event. If you are outside of the state of Wisconsin, there is still some good stuff in here to listen to, but it is all Wisconsin centered. In the podcast, Rob and Neight chat about pool in Wisconsin over the past month. We also discuss a recent controversy that happened at a tournament in Wisconsin. It was a big post on the WPPS and we tried to go above the yelling to give the best judgment of what actually happened.

Lastly, you had indicated that it should be a lesson learned from all TDs... yes however many people anyone can run a torunament. There is a facebook Private Wisconsin Tournament Directors group that Brian Hollenbeck and myself oversee. For those actively running tournaments I would recommend contacting me. thank you and Happy New Year Natasha Zasoba

After a brief understanding of the Union Grove tournament, Based on what you had concluded, I agree with what your decision would have been. It is not fair to anyone to disqualify the team and kick them out. Because it was the TDs fault as well, allowing them to play, the last match should have been played out as you stated and the TD should have allowed them play with the correct race. I would have also reviewed the calcutta and likely would have perhaps required the players to return to the teams they knocked out their calcutta $ and the TD / establishment should reimburse the entries back to those teams. But see this is why I no longer choose to run tournaments. The risk is way too high when not getting appropriately compensated. And the bullshit is priceless. Lol I have chosen to be paid if I am asked to run tournaments. This would allow me to cover my cost for mistakes however I have not often made any major mistakes. As Rob indicated it is a thankless job and I recommend every player out there to experience running a tournament. it should be a prereq to becoming a master player ;) it is unfortunate that what happened happened. Just to note that regardless of the experience of running a tournament, there is no rule book or manual. i have experienced bad calls on the largest of tournaments.

Hi Neight and Rob - I continue to follow the podcast and listened thoroughly to this as I still in tuned to what is transpiring. Seems the drama continues on WPPS facebook group hence why I had left the group. I have also taken a back seat to running tournaments for the time being.
